Yes, Kansas …
So here’s another question, if you were to draw out your life , the experiences and people it has been populated with, would it be a circle or a straight line? Have you ever felt like you’ve come full circle or that you have set out to complete something…. Your dream job, or creating your family, or traveling far and wide……or, is your life still moving forward, never quite feeling accomplished or complete, still in search of something more?
I’m conflicted on my answer. Right now, at this moment, having completed our journey, I see my life as a giant circle. It is complete and fulfilled, filled with family and friends, memories and experiences. Yet also at this moment, my life is moving onward to a new phase. Gary and I will be moving to somewhere new, we’ll have new careers and continue traveling.
Ah, its late at night and I cant sleep. We’re still in the RV, yet we’re getting to visit old friends and places. These past five months have gone by quickly and yet so much has happened.
And no, I don’t have a favorite place, there were too many amazingly beautiful stops, each with their own magic and cool factor. The trip as a whole was what was my favorite thing. The fact that we DID it was amazing. I love the sight of our route map, too.
There are definitely places I would return to or recommend to people to visit. For hiking in the mountains, go to Grand Tetons or Mt. Rainier, for the ocean, hurry then to OBX or the Oregon coast, and if its rocks you seek, then look no farther than Utah and those Mighty Five. If you want to borrow our RV until we plan our trip to Alaska next year, please just give us a call, and off you go.
Circles or lines…. it doesn’t matter. The map of one’s life is only a visual guide to where you’ve been and where you’re going next. The most important thing is who’s with you along the way. And like I’ve said before, I have the very best people with me on my way.
