We loved our overnight stay at The Lampstand!

Although Alan and Kay were away when we arrived, they called to explain everything clearly—where to park and how to hook up to electric and water. Their beautiful new concrete driveway provided a long, level pad that made setup easy. They offered electric for a small fee and water if needed, which was much appreciated.

We took the opportunity to explore downtown Durant and enjoyed a relaxing walk through town. The Choctaw Casino is a major draw in the area, and we also had a great beer at Lost Street Brewery and a delicious dinner at The Roadhouse—both excellent spots!

After Alan and Kay returned home, they warmly invited us to share some pecan pie on their patio, and we enjoyed swapping RV stories. They were incredibly welcoming hosts, and it was a real joy to meet them.

Google Maps led us directly to their home, which is located just a short drive north of town. The surrounding neighborhood features newer homes. The final stretch of road before their driveway is unpaved—at the time of our visit it was a bit muddy and had a few potholes due to rain, but it was still easily passable.

Highly recommended!
